Still life portraits

Objects used and loved hold traces of their owner’s lives. This series of paintings aims to convey the life quietly resting within the inanimate objects left behind. A pair of old shoes tells tales of dreams and triumphs, a crochet basket holds secrets never known. Each painting concurrently forms a personal portrait of the artist and explores a familial relationship with her.
